A wet shave is preferable as it is the best way to get a close shave.
Thoroughly wet your face, use warm water to soften the hair and open your pores. The best way is to use a flannel, wet it with hot/warm water, and squeeze it out and place it on the face the steam will work wonders massage your shaving cream into the area to be shaved. Foams can be great for the lather but can be a bit drying. Creams and oils seem to give the best results. Make sure your razor is really sharp and then start to shave. Shave in the same direction of the hair growth use short strokes and be careful around your neck and throat. Rinse your razor in hot water finish off by rinsing any excess shaving cream or oil. Use cool water and use cold flannel again as this will help to close pores use an after shave balm on the shaved areas now if it feels slightly irritated. Use a moisturizer over the rest of your face and neck to help keep the skin firm and supple.
