Hi my name is Scott.

Although I am fairly new to working on the shop floor as a stylist, I am now the Redken Specialist for Heaven spa and one of the ‘La Brasiliana Technicians’.

In my spare time I love to take part in hair dressing competitions, last year I took part in one at my training school and won awards in several categories and I was delighted to be made overall winner too!! I received two gold medals and three trophy cups and because of this achievement, I was recently asked by my training school to represent them at the Cheshire championship 2009.

What exciting time it has been for Heaven Spa! As we told you last year, we were shortlisted for the Professional Beauty Awards 2008. The glittering ceremony took place at the ExCel in London on March 3rd. Heaven Spa, one of the hopefuls in the “Beauty Salon of the Year” category, was represented by Catherine Murphy, Denise Wharton and Rebecca Hough.

The competition was fierce as this is one of the most hotly contested categories, and the judges decided the winner was Hurley’s Beauty Salon in Derbyshire. Following the ceremony, Heaven Spa is now officially the Finalist of the Professional Beauty Awards 2008. Says Catherine Murphy, one of the owners of Heaven Spa:

“This is a marvellous achievement for us. We only opened our Heaven Spa @ Hilton branch at the end of 2006, so to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is a real honour. We have a wonderful team of therapists, led by Denise, our Spa Manager. Being a finalist shows what a great job the team does every single day in ensuring all our spa guests are well looked after. We aim to provide the best spa and beauty services and our mission is to help people look and feel fabulous. While we are overjoyed with the result, we are inspired to walk the extra mile and improve – we hope to be back next year!”

We would like to pass our congratulations onto all finalists and winners, and we are grateful to the organisers for selecting Heaven Spa, thus putting us in the spotlight. Our team had a fantastic night at the ceremony, enjoying a sumptuous meal and being entertained by the amazing Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop who hosted this year’s awards.

This was a fabulous start of the year for Heaven Spa, and we are proud to sport the finalist’s badge. We shall continue providing you with the best spa and beauty experience while also putting Manchester on the map as the place to be beautiful!
